Anyone know what the comm is for the LA CreationCon? I really, really want to go to at least one big con like that and LA is closest to me, so I'm aiming for that one. My big hope is, like, to find someone who bought a gold pass and won't be able to go because, really, if I'm going to be using up the only free money I have for a year on something I want the WORKS.

Also, I feel okay thinking about this because right now my idea of splurging is possibly replacing my two-year-old glasses since I'm having issues seeing out of them again.

I mean, really, I don't really do things for me right now except that I spend fifty bucks to get my hair dyed every two or three months and once a year I go to wincon. So if I want to try to spend a ridiculous amount of money to go somewhere and listen to people from TV talk in person and get pictures with them I should be able to.

...Okay, so looking at that maybe I am still trying to justify thinking about it a tiny bit.

I'm kinda worried though because, like, LA is my highly preferred option because it's $140 to fly there and back versus $340 for NJ and $560 for Vancouver. Also, next year Chicago will be the week after WinCon, so that will never happen, because I would either need to fly to and from twice in two weeks or find a way to get ten days off work and still keep my job, which just would not happen.

I HAZ A JOB! Part of why my posting has been minimal lately. I'm a Breakfast Ambassador at a Fairfield Inn--which means that I set out the breakfast in the morning, keep everything all filled up, and then put it away and was the food covers. It's only part time, 0530-1000, but it's seven bucks an hour and it's not like I have bills to pay right now.

AND? I HAZ A SECOND JOB TOO! Almost. I actually have two offers, one for front desk clerk at a Marriott near my work (full time) and another for front desk at an Extended Stay America up around here. I know what Extended Stay wants to pay me and what shift they want me to work, I'm going in tomorrow for an interview, but I also had an interview with Marriott on Saturday, I'm just waiting on a call from them to find out what shift they might want me for.

Also? The job I have so far currently has me waking up at four in the morning, and thus falling asleep a lot earlier. Which is kind of annoying since I tend to have time to write mostly at night.

I have a little more than 13.5k on my Big Bang and about ten days to write 6.5k. I still think I can do it, I just have to figure out when I have the time (like, say, now?).

I'm such a loser. My birthday is on Tuesday and since there's nothing really that I want to see movie-wise I'm googling free stuff I can do/get on my birthday. Apparently some Denny's give you a free meal, free drink and free desert on your birthday so I'm definitely gonna be calling the one near my work, see if maybe I can grab a free lunch after it. And both Coldstone and Baskin Robbin's give out free ice cream so you better believe I'm gonna try and swing by them.

So. While I was busy not making posts I missed much talking? Jensen was a human being and everyone cooed, Jared was a human being and people declared their hate (shock me, shock me shock me with your deviant behavior), and some kind, brave soul finally stepped up to save Jensen and Jared's lives by letting all us RPS and Wincesters know how sick and horrible we are (and that leaving her comments on her fic saves lives, yo). ILU, Fandom, never change.

There appears to be a Russian site that is archiving J2 fic from LJ, possibly without the author's permissions. They credit the authors and link back to the original posts but still seem to have the full texts on the site in English.

Among the authors I recognized from my FList on there are belyste, ignited, aynslee, and unperfectwolf (FAMOUS!JENSEN!) along with a lot more.

In other news spnstoryfinders continues to both scare the shit out of me and make me weep for fandom.

First off: I love brynviridian because she just totally bought me another year on LJ and so now I don't expire until August 19th, 2009! ♥

Second: I now have a DVD player so I can actually watch things without having to borrow Stephie's PS2, Phil's PS2 or Yussie's 360.

Seventh: The problem with having two things of server space is that occasionally when you're tired and you upload things you don't remember in which one of the hundreds of files on either server you shoved things in. I have to go through and find a bunch of the stuff I uploaded and have to post.

Eighth: I want more pie. I think I'm gonna go get some. Then read, get some more Neopoints and then read more stuff. Maybe sleep occasionally too.

Jared told a cute story about them all being at dinner in Vancouver and Jensen saw something on Jared's cheek and reached out to wipe it off before he realized that he was sort of in a public place invading Jared's space. Jensen looked adorable and embarrassed and said he was about half way to Jared's face when he realized he probably shouldn't be doing that in public, but he was already committed to it, so he wiped it off and then they both chugged their beers to feel more manly.

Jared wiped his sweaty brow on Jensen's shirt and a million camera's started going off and Jensen said.... "Yeah, that's not going to be on anyones website tomorrow." Jared also hugged Jensen a couple of times. They were adorable.

In the room where breakfast was held, there were two huge posters of each boy and Jensen pointed to Jared's and said, "I want to get that to hang in my room."

There was lots of screaming and clapping when they came on stage and Jared was like, "I know that was for me, but lets show Jensen some love too."

Oh yeah, also, much like most of my friends, I am sick. Even stayed home from my one hour of class today because I keep hacking and snotting and sneezing and having random waves of "BRB, may throw up." Yayness.

RULES.
1. No more than five per comment. Comment to your heart's desire but when you shove them all in one comment it makes it hard to read.
2. Be specific. If you ask for Sam tell me whether you mean Sam from Supernatural or Sam from Burn Notice. If you want My Dean tell me if you mean My Dean from my overall fanon or My Dean from a fic.
