Hi, how are you? I know I haven't really talked about you much lately, I've been trying to avoid wank and fights and been lost in RL. My apologies.
However. I have noticed something about you that I just can't seem to hold in any longer.
There is this quote, a fairly well-known one. The quote is, "If you say in the first chapter that there is a rifle hanging on the wall, in the second or third chapter it absolutely must go off. If it's not going to be fired, it shouldn't be hanging there."
What does this mean?
IT MEANS THAT IF YOU SPEND THE ENTIRE FIC TELLING ME ABOUT THIS GUN ON THE WALL AND HOW IT HAS A HAIR TRIGGER AND IS VERY DANGEROUS AND IS RIGHT WITHIN ANYONE'S REACH THEN YOU BETTER HAVE SOMEONE SHOOT IT BEFORE YOUR FIC ENDS.
I am getting TIRED of reading fics where the endings don't seem to have anything to do with the story I spent so long reading, or where it looks like someone just wanted to end it now and used whatever came out first.
Now, I understand that sometimes a fic doesn't end the way you originally intended it to when you started out. But there's a difference between Sam not being able to save Dean from Hell after 30k of trying and Sam deciding not to save him anymore after 30k of saving him being the main, important focus of the story.
Seriously, I've seen shit like this in FOUR STORIES in the last week. IT IS MAKING ME NOT WANT TO READ FIC UNTIL IT'S BEEN VETTED AS NOT A WASTE OF TIME.

- You know those people who think it's funny to tell telemarketers to go jump off of buildings or kill themselves or something of the like? They're all douchebags. Yeah, if you're on my FList and you do that I think you're a douchebag too. I'm a telemarketer, man. We don't just wake up one day and decide we're gonna call John Smith because we want to ruin his whole day with a call he can easily hang up on in two fucking seconds.
It's called a job, guys. Not everyone can be a receptionist or art designer or fucking mechanic. Some of us have no experience and live places where the job market is shit and all we can do is get on the phone and try to sell shit.
- Lots of people have icons of The Comedian (JDM's character in Watchmen) now. Some with, what I think is, rather... Odd text on them considering the character. It kinda really makes me wonder how many of the people have actually readi the comic or at least a Wiki entry about his character or something.
- I spent four fucking hours trying on clothes yesterday. My knee still hurts.
- I totally got a $632 check from work yesterday--for one week.
- I now have $202.41 left.
- I have $125 in bonus for next weeks check already. Which means my check will be at least $447.
- I have 43 comments on Postcards (From Easy Street) that I need to answer. And, yes, I have to state that just so I have an excuse to link.
- I have a truly fucking retarded about of fic sitting open in tabs. I will be reading some/most/all of it soon, hopefully.
- I have only two more eps of SGA until I'm all caught up with the rest of the fans.
- I'm taking Ma and CJ out to dinner tonight because I have money and I can.
- I have about four pages of DID!Sam longhand on legal paper sitting next to me. I like legal paper more than I remember. I think I shall be buying some.
- I need to make another Fic To-Do list, this time ranked by the order in which I should do them.
- I'm totally about to start trying to figure out what I want my layout to look like next. I know the colors I want, I just have to find the hexes for them (it's totally the blues and purples and black off the Joker shirt I have on now).
- I'm hungry, so I'm probably gonna go make some cereal now.

| Because Jared and Jensen's hips don't have faces and it's almost posting time anyway (kinda). Man, I cannot tell you guys just how much I want to go see The Dark Knight all Jokerized the day it opens. And, man, if I wasn't sure I would be the only one in the place doing it I so would. Also, y'know, the bus. Also, in semi-fandom news, I've seen some people on my FList do this in response to the pep talk meme. Gimme concrit! You don't learn if you never find out what's wrong. And when I say concrit I mean constructive criticism. "You write too much Sam/Dean," is not concrit. Neither is, "write faster." I could totally use this, too. seeing as how I'm finishing up stuff on my Big Bang (ending ongoing scenes, etc). Go DL Firefox 3!The laptop I wanted to be Sam III? Is back up to $899 before tax. My check on Friday will be approximately $650 after taxes. IDK what I'm gonna do because Sam is seriously on his last legs here. I'm trying to decide between getting a cheap-ass laptop and begging CJ to get a Best Buy credit card so I can get it now and pay it off over the next few checks. It seems like an easy choice but CJ's planning on getting a Corvette here in a couple of weeks when he gets his bonus (and he seriously deserves it, because his truck has no windshield wipers, no breaks, the right door doesn't open, etc, etc, and instead of getting any of that fixed he does stuff like spend two hundred dollars on flowers for Mom because she's having a shitty day at work and her job is closing down on Thursday) and every time someone/something checks you credit--like to give you a card--it drops your score a little more. Also? That thirty dollar iPod wall charger I got a few weeks ago? BROKE IN HALF. I unplugged it from the wall and it literally fell apart in my hands, prongs coming out of the plastic that separated from their pieces and spilled wires out into nowhere. *Sighs* And now to keep looking for laptops. | |

| From ignipes. Give me two characters from different fandoms you know I'm familiar with, and I'll give you a dialogue happening between the two of them. Without justifying how the crossover would work, how their worlds clashed, or how they could even meet each other. Just a silly crossover conversation with no backstory, for fun.Because I love crossovers even more than I love badfic. And because one of the good things about writing like someone telling a story (as opposed to like someone writes a story) is that I'm pretty good at dialogue. Really, this means a lot because I hate just about everything about how I write. I don't actually know how many things I'll get off this since I don't watch SGA, Dr. Who, or Torchwood and I don't read Twilight and my total knowledge of HP comes from the movies. But I'm huge on comics and have several other fandoms y'all may have heard about. Bones, House, Numb3rs, Prison Break (season one only), Dexter, Boston Legal, Boondock Saints, The Fast & The Furious (Hi Steve!), Heroes, Chuck, LotRips, CWRPS, Smallville (up to S3), Ten Inch Hero, Firefly, Psych, Burn Notice, Fastlane, John Doe, and probably some mother things I'm forgetting about. I think I might have maybe three people on my whole FList who have any idea what those last two shows are. And another meme I was too lazy to do before, from everyone on me FList and yours. | Okay, so like three or four people on my FList have been complaining about a lag in comments so I may not even get any of these comments until WinCon or something but... Hell. I'll just keep this up and try to remember to refresh it just in case.
Oh yeah, also, much like most of my friends, I am sick. Even stayed home from my one hour of class today because I keep hacking and snotting and sneezing and having random waves of "BRB, may throw up." Yayness.
